Hello JL families! We have a fantastic resource to share with you! Please take time to view at least one of the mental health supports at parentguidance.org - the calendar has something every night Monday-Thursday and the website has places to read questions and ideas or ask a question of your own.

It was a BUSY day in Mrs. G's kindergarten class. Students attended their first election!
In the morning, kindergarteners had to create their own voter registration cards. Students took time to learn about each candidate (Oreos or Chocolate Chip Cookies) so they could make an informed vote. Each kindergartener also had to time to talk to the class about what they liked and didn't like about each candidate.
Before they voted, they listened to a story to help them better understand the voting process.
Finally, they got to cast their votes and chart the results! It was a TIGHT race!
We ended our day enjoying some cookies! 🍪

Some Halloween fun with the middle school kiddos today! We enjoyed crafting with the elementary, painting our advisory hats, playing musical pumpkin, mummy wrap, and enjoyed some spooky bingo while eating yummy snacks! 🎃Mrs Huff

Happy Halloween from Lewiston Elementary!

Middle school students created crafts with some of the elementary kiddos today as a Halloween activity. We had a great time creating spider webs, coloring and watching a Halloween cartoon.

Lewiston 2nd had a Spooktacular time making ghosts today 👻

The Advanced Foods class was in the kitchen today, being creative, doing a free cook for the end of the 1st marking period.

We just love crafts!

The Marching Cardinals hit the field last Friday for their final marching show of the 2024 season. Congratulations to the group for their hard work this year, as well as Senior Eliza Idalski for her last marching performance with our band before she graduates. You all did an amazing job and put together a fantastic halftime show! We can't wait to see what you bring to the field next year!

JLAS has its very own preschool program! Thanks to our partnerships with COPESD and MiLEAP, we are hosting one GSRP room in the district this year and hope to expand to a second next year. Special thanks to Kelly Isrow from MiLEAP for coming to visit our district with Karyn Rauch-Smock from COPESD. We have a great team! Currently we have GSRP programming in the Johannesburg building and a Head Start program facilitated by NEMCSA in the Lewiston building.
