Johannesburg-Lewiston Area Schools

Dear families, Due to a driver shortage, tomorrow, Monday 2/3, the morning Bear Route, Jason's #7, will not be running and parents will need to transport those students to school. We will be working to adjust this route for Tuesday and in the future if necessary. In the afternoon, Kristy’s Cat route, 23A will be running 30-45 minutes late. So sorry for the continued disruption. We are in need of bus drivers! If you are interested, please contact the Transportation Office.

Community Financial Credit Union will in the lunchroom on Wednesday February 5th. Please use this time to open up a savings account, make a deposit or a withdrawl. This service is available to all staff and high school students during lunch. Please email clarkh@jlas.org with any questions. Thanks

In the afternoon, Autumn’s Giraffe route, #21A will not be running. Those students will need to be picked up from school. Options for parents who cannot get their child a ride at dismissal include: Cardinal Club: Students in grades K-age 13 may sign up for Cardinal Club by contacting the K-8 office and signing up to attend. Signed paperwork is required for new attendees. Also in the afternoon, Kristy’s Cat route, 23A will be running 30-45 minutes late. In the afternoon, Robyn's Dog bus #22a will not be running. Those students will need to be picked up from school. 1/28/2025: Community hours for the fitness center and walking track will occur as scheduled!

Good evening families! The Road Commission has reached out to let us know the roads will not be cleared for tomorrow due to all of the blowing and drifting. Please stay safe, read a book and play in the snow! JLAS will be closed 1.28.2025

Due to unsafe road conditions, the basketball games for this evening are cancelled. Please pick up students from Cardinal Club and after school support as early as possible. Practices and activities will end at 5pm and the activity bus will run from Johannesburg to Lewiston at 5pm. Please be slow and safe!

Temperatures are warming up! Tonight's game (1/22) and community hours for the fitness center and walking track will occur as scheduled!

Miss Mac's ELA students have an opportunity to earn some extra points by sharing a picture and a paragraph of what they're up to on our COLD DAYS!!! 🥶❄️☃️🧤🧊🌨️ Here are some highlights: - stacking wood 🪵 - sibling studying 📖 - skin care 🧴 - baking birthday cake 🎂 - reading a good book 🤓 - and doing some decorating 🎖️ Happy Cold Day! 💙💙💙
