Congratulations to our Cardinal band members who participated in the Solo & Ensemble event hosted at Kingsley High School over this past weekend.
All four participants scored some of the highest marks and received medals for their hard work in six total performances representing our school. Cora Mullins and Kayley Kassuba both received 1's or "superior" ratings on their french horn and clarinet solos. Eliza Idalski and Libbi Barber-Vanier both received 2's or "excellent" ratings on their horn and flute solos. Libbi and Kayley also received Superior ratings on their horn and clarinet duet, while Libbi received an additional Superior rating with her cousin Alaina from Gaylord HS on their horn and saxophone duet. All of the students receiving the Superior rating will now have the opportunity to take their performances to the State level held in Cadillac.
We are very proud of the work these students have done and can't wait to see them continue to perform. Congratulations and good luck at States!
