Johannesburg P.T.O.

Hello everyone!  After our first PTO meeting of the year, we have a few updates for you!
We will run our Box Tops for Education fundraiser all year long instead of once a year in the winter.  This helps logistically by reducing the amount of Box Tops needing to be trimmed at one time, as well as a savings in shipping (envelopes vs. large box).  However, more importantly, what does this mean for our kids?

  • MORE MONEY!!!  Our PTO’s check from Box Tops for Education will increase due to the decrease in the number of expired Box Tops that must be thrown out.  This is our biggest, most important fundraiser of the year.
  • MORE FUN!!!  Instead of just once a year, our elementary students will have a monthly classroom winner.  We will have more details about how to make this monthly competition more fun as the year goes on.  Stay tuned in to daily announcements for further updates!

We meet the first Tuesday of each month, and our next meeting is Tuesday, June 6th at 6 p.m.
in the Elementary Library.  Won’t you consider having a direct impact on your child’s school?

Thank you,
Angie Hummel
